Welcome!

Welcome to Annie's Herbs blog!

To start things off, I wanted to share with you the purpose of this blog. My purpose is to educate and empower. I have no desire to give you a checklist of all the things you are supposed to be doing for your health.

I love lists so here is a list of what you can expect from this blog.

1. The posts will be short and sweet. Because of a chronic illness, I cannot spend too much time staring a screen. Rationing energy is something I have to do daily and that will be reflected in my blog posts. I will try and always include resources if you want to dig deeper into a particular topic.

2. Numerous topics will be here for you to explore. Herbs, essential oils, healthy living, product reviews, chronic illness are just some of the ideas swimming in my head right now.

3. Remember that this is just a blog. A resource and tool helping you along the path of wellness. Blogs are not a substitute for research and should always be viewed critically, especially if there are a lot of advertisements. While I do my absolute best to give accurate and evidence-based information, the blog will never take the place of personal research and learning.

4. I hope to update with a new post each month (I figured I should probably start small to see how well I do).

5. Please comment and let me know your thoughts. Part of writing a blog is knowing your audience. I want to meet you where you are at. While we all wish to be somewhere else, either personally or professionally, we cannot neglect or diminish the importance of where we are at this moment.

About 6 yrs ago , I started my own struggle with balancing energy. I am now 74 yrs and in a Hospit program. Back in the beginning , while raising my son and working as a RN., I never seemed to have enough time nor, energy to do what I wanted to do-- study Herbal Healing. Now that I am mainly on bed rest, I've come to appreciate all that my life has led to. I now have a huge TV screen, With every Internet and …
